Bun Buns

So, last week I came home and parked my car in the garage.  Right as I was going to walk into the house I saw a cage in front of the fridge.  I literally was like, "What the heck?"  And inside the cage were two little bun buns.  One is a really pretty tan color and another is dark brown with a white collar.

I have contacted two rescues already to see if they can take them but every shelter is so full. Looks like we're gonna keep them until we can figure out a new home for them or a rescue can take them in.

Also, how come only my dad and I remember ever seeing a "killer bunny" movie?  No one else seems to know it but we both swear we have seen it.  I googled it and the movie that came out was "Night of the Lepus."  I think this must be it.  They bunnies get all giant (cant remember why) but they start attacking everything and killing people and horses.  A family goes into the basement and the bunnies start digging through the ground and find them with their giant noses.  Sounds kind of crazy but it freaked me out at the time!

I'll post pics of the Bun Buns soon.

Just a Girl and her Dog

One day when this world goes away, I'm going to remember the love you gave.

I'm going to remember when you slipped out of your collar and how you made us chase you down the street.

I'm going to remember the way you bit me and made me cry when we first met.

I'm going to remember how your extra toes dangle when you run.

I'm going to remember how all the fur you shed broke the swimming pool motor.

I'm going to remember how you make me fall on the ground and scraped my knees and elbows as you chased a bunny.

I'm going to remember how you chased the two boys and you made me fall and my shoes fell off and we had to chase you around the park in the mud to catch you.

I'm going to remember the way you make me feel when nothing seems right.  How you would put your paw on my leg in a way telling me to "snap out of it."  How you would roll over on your belly.  How you would drool all over the place.  The way you are at dog parks...wandering all alone and not playing with the other dogs.

You are still a young girl Happy but I dont ever want to forget.

Quiet Time

Oh Happy.  Eyes so soulful and concerned.  Smile so goofy and endearing. Ears that perk up and down.  A wet nose touches mine.
